Description
We dined at Simon Pierce in Quechee, Vermont, and our table on the enclosed porch had a wonderful view of a covered bridge on one side (shown) and a large waterfall (not shown) on the other. Fortunately, I had brought along my camera. Because as sunset approached, the light turned absolutely golden, and a number of local teenage boys put on a floorshow for us by swinging out from a rope attached to the bottom of the bridge -- sometimes two or three at a time -- and then dropping into the water. The resulting shot reminds me a little of the feel of Norman Rockwell's paintings of small town America.
